Here’s my story: Currently the Assistant Editor at OpenRice Singapore, an online dining guide where food knows no bounds. I attend media tastings, dish out good stuff for fellow foodies and can probably live by the phrase “will write for food”. Prior to this, I spent six good months with Poached Mag — where I attended my first media tasting and fell into (and subsequently in love with) food writing. This stint ran alongside my last semester in NUS, where I majored in Communications & New Media. A sole regret I hold dearly was joining The Ridge too late in the course of my study and as a result, having only one opportunity to contribute an article to the lifestyle section of the school magazine. Still, I’m glad I had that shot.
A Quaint Sense was started in March 2013 and this blog gives me an outlet to share my travel stories – be it around the country for food, a good flat white, book fairs where I risk getting paper cuts and leave with emptier wallets or with the aid of an air ticket that brings me around the globe. The latter, I’d genuinely prefer.
